What are cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are chemicals found within the cannabis plant that have some sort of effect on the endocannabinoid system (see ‘What is the endocannabinoid system?’ FAQ). There are over 113 different cannabinoids, two different types of receptors, and an infinite number of functions that they serve.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, CBD, is one of the cannabinoids/compounds found in the hemp plant. These have been reported in both pre clinical studies and anecdotal evidence, to assist in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
CBD regulates signals in your cells, acts as an antioxidant, and activates different receptors in your body.
What is the endocannabionid system?
Our bodies naturally produce cannabinoids as compounds to balance and control communication between cells, to promote cellular health, and they structurally resemble cannabinoids found in hemp.
The body’s endocannabinoid system (eCS) maintains homeostasis, allowing cells to communicate with each other and facilitating cells to do what is necessary to for good health.
Endocannabinoid, meaning cannabinoids inside, is a system found in all mammals.
The eCS primary receptors are the CB1 and CB2, which are best known for interacting with the cannabinoids.
Cannabinoids bind to different receptors in our bodies and brains, creating a variety of effects depending on which receptor they bind with and how those interact. The receptors then do more, or less, of what they were doing
What is the difference between THC and CBD?
Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, has a number of effects on the body in addition to producing a high, including strong anti-inflammatory properties.
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a different compound than THC, and doesn’t get you high. It is extracted from the leaves and flowers and once isolated from the rest of the plant can be made into a variety of products.
Does CBD react with my other medicine/supplements?
It is always recommended you check with your health care professional about how your current
medication might be impacted by adding anything new such as our CBD products.
What is the best method of ingestion?
The best method depends on each person and what they are hoping to get out of the product. We
recommend trying a variety of products to see what works best for you and your lifestyle. You may
find that the combination of certain products or particular dosages of a certain product work to get
the effect you desire.
Why are CBD products so expensive?
We only source our products from the very best, striving to bring you great products at competitive
